Nischay Ranjan
Since March 2024, I have held the position of Assistant Professor within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Government Engineering College, Sheohar. Additionally, I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, under the supervision of Prof. Sathya Peri. My research interests lie in parallel and distributed systems, with a primary focus on Software Transactional Memory (STM). I am working on developing a robust and efficient STM framework that supports the nesting of transactions.
Prior to joining IIT Hyderabad, I completed my M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, under the supervision of Dr. Sanjib Sadhu. Along with STM, I maintain a keen interest in Concurrent Data Structures, Blockchains, and Parallel Computing, and I actively pursue research in these areas to contribute to advancements in the field.
From April 2024 to July 2024, I served as the Head of the Department at GEC Sheohar. Currently, I hold the position of In-charge of the Startup Cell at GEC Sheohar.
